Light and air define this contemporary house, carefully designed and executed to take full advantage of the commanding position that it holds. There are beautiful panoramic views over towards the hills on the opposite side of the valley, known as “Las Salinas”. Indoor and outdoor living are perfectly combined in this property. This experience is one of the things that makes Andalucía so special and enviable.The property has a privileged location, but is nonetheless only a short distance (1km) from the white village of ‘Arriate’. If desired one can therefore easily walk to the restaurants, bars and shops. The larger town of ‘Ronda’ is less than a 15-minute drive away with plenty to see and appreciate. Beaches are an hours’ drive away at San Pedro de Alcantara and day trips to cities such as Sevilla and Granada are very viable.

The living area is a huge double height space. Distinctive features of the sitting room include a selection of modern artworks and a mezzanine floor with a lounge area. Furthermore there are inviting leather sofas by the open fire place and a large television with a good range of channels, as well as Netflix. There is also broadband WiFi and a Sonos sound system. The kitchen has a double door fridge/freezer, five-ring hob, oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster juice and nespresso coffee maker. Adjacent, is the utility room with an additional sink and washing-machine.There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, including en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers. One of these bedrooms has a double bed and the other can be made up as a double bed or two singles. Upstairs there are two further double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a shower and a bath. All windows have mosquito netting and each bedroom has air conditioning and a silent ceiling fan. One of the bedrooms has an additional 45-inch smart TV. Large sliding glass let the living room flow seamlessly into the covered outdoor terrace with armchairs to sit in the shade and relax. There is also a lovely teak dining table and chairs for al fresco dining. Meals can even be prepared outside! There is an outdoor kitchen with a large Smeg oven, a Weber barbecue, a bar and a fridge for drinks. The outdoor kitchen connects to the kitchen inside via sliding glass doors.Next to the terrace is a nice lush lawn and the 10m x 5m saltwater pool. The pool has a depth of 1m to 2m and there are wide steps at the shallow end. Sunbeds are available as well as a wooden pergola that provides the required shade.
